Isdaan sa Calauan is recommended stop over if you are going on a road trip to Laguna towards Sta Cruz and Pagsanjan. Be warned that the place is very popular and be preprepared to wait for extra time before given a table, there is no doubt that the place is huge and plenty of tables and huts but the delay is due their limited number of restaurant employees and cooks.

Isdaan Floating Restaurant sa Calauan is a theme park style restaurant with a lots of life sized and giant sized statues, mostly but not limited to Buddas and Mermaids and largest of them all a Gorilla in the center of the Restaurant Park.

With great luck you may be seating in the limited floating cottages made out of bamboo, otherwise there are plenty of Kubo Huts at different themed sections of the restaurant.

There are lot to choose from their menu mostly Filipino food but other foods are also available. Now should you not able to decide, try their soap dishes, the Pinatulang Baka and Kinalabasang Hipon are good. Recommend also to have their seasonal fruit juices instead of having soft drinks. If you want to have a taste of the foods in smaller quantities try out their set menus there are a lot of choices to suit your food preference.

For entertainment there are regular shows at the center stage of the restaurant, otherwise be prepared to be entertained by their famous Singing Cooks and Waiters or be serenated by their regular band that goes around on every tables and huts. There is also a Tacsiyapo corner to let off and releases ones anger by throwing plates, cups, or even TVs against the wall. And one last thing, do not miss the boat ride.

How to get there?

By private vehicle.

Travel to Laguna via SLEX then exit to Calamba. At Calamba national road crossing turn right towards the town of Bay and Sta. Cruz, at this point just drive along the national road until you reach the crossing toward Calauan and Bay. Go straight along the national road, Isdaan Floating Restaurant sa Calauan is just 1.5 kilometers away on the right side.

By bus.

Greenstar, JAM or Jac Liner travel to Sta Cruz, Laguna on almost every hour at the most. Just go to their terminal in Cubao, Pasay LRT or Alabang. Ask the conductor to drop you at Calauan, Laguna in front of Isdaan Floating Restaurant.
