Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge

Sydney Opera House
Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It has been said that the Sydney Harbour is the most beautiful harbour in the world, that I could not confirm but I could say it is beautiful indeed. This is probably because it is where the famous Australian icon is located the Sydney Opera House, it is also where the equally famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, the bridge is the location of the yearly fireworks every New Year, it is where the New Year celebrations starts. There are already a lot of stories said about the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge all I could say is the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge is one of the must see places when you are in Sydney.

Zoobic Safari, Subic Zamabales

Zoobic Safari, Subic Zamabales
Zoobic Safari, Subic Zamabales. Zoobic Safari is a small zoo located at the jungle forest of Subic Freeport Zone. The park’s main attraction is the Tiger Safari where you get a close encounter with freely roaming tigers, visitors ride in a caged jeepney around the fenced safari. To get the attention of the tigers visitors feed them with chicken, the feeding itself is done by the guides only. To go around the park a tour guide is assigned to groups explaining the different species of animals in the park. The adventure also includes an animal show. Because the area is large the tour includes road train rides to different section of the park. The tour starts with a tour guide walk to the Bird Trill, the Rodent World, Zoobic Park, the Serpentarium. Then a stop for the animal show, after the show the tour continues with a road train ride to the Rorbidden Caves, the Tiger Safari and Close encounter with tigers, the Savannah, the Croco-Loco then the museum. The tour takes about an hour. There are no big animals except for the tigers and camels. This may not be as good as the Zoos I have visited overseas but the adventure is worth a visit if you happen to visit Subic, Olongapo or Clark.

The Bangui Windmills, Bangui, Ilocos Norte

The Bangui Windmills
The Bangui Windmills. Most Pinoys do not know that the largest Wind Farm in operation in South East Asia is located in the Philippines, up to this date. The title will soon be relinquish to the planned construction of a larger similar wind farm in Thailand, but the title of being the first of its kind in South East Asia can never be removed.

The Bangui Windmills Observbation Deck
The Bangui Windmills are located in Bangui Bay, Ilocos Norte. The place is about 1 1/2 hours from Laoag City towards Pagudpud, the Patapat Viaduct or to Appari, Cagayan. About 4 to 5 kilometers or 5 to 8 minutes drive from the town of Burgos there is a directional marker to turn left on a dirt road, this will lead you downwards to Bangui Bay, to the wind farms.
The Bangui Wind Farm
If you miss the first turn, for about 3 kilometers or about 2 to 3 minutes drive ahead there is an view deck before the Marhalika Highway descends to a zigzag road towards Baruyen Bridge.
Wind Farm
Now if you really want to proceed to Bangui Bay for a close look of the Windmills there is another directional marker to turn left towards the Wind Farm before you cross the Baruyen Bridge.

The photos that I had was not as good as it should be because there was a little drizzle at that time and I hope to go back soon for a better close view.

Fantasy World, Lemery, Batangas

Fantasy World
Fantasy World. There may be no Disneyland in the Philippines but there is fantasy castle theme park that seems to be similar to Disneyland at first glance. Not a lot of people know that there such theme park except those who are regularly traveling or have travelled to Lemery, Batangas via Tagaytay and Diokno Highway.

Fantasy World is actually a family entertainment facility and recreation club park for the hotel and residential houses in the area. It is located on rolling mountain ridge on the Batangas side of Taal Lake and Volcano with a magnificent panoramic view of the Lake and Volcano. Fantasy World is open to the public, according to the guards that manage the gates, they are open every day. To enter they charge P1,000.00 minimum of 10 persons.

But be informed that there are no rides although there is an adjacent facility but it seems it is already closed. There is also a cable car access from the pedestrian entrance at Diokno Highway but it is not in operation. The towers are also closed to the public. There are no stores, restaurant or commercial activity and it looks empty except for the occasional visitors who may have learned about the park by word of mouth or may have discovered the place by change in the net. People just visited the place provably just for curiosity and to take photographs. Fantasy World was used as shooting locations of some of the Pinoy fantasy movies and fantasy television series, like Majika.
